A man was walking on the road. He saw a tree where
he found a cocoon of a butterfly. He sat there and started observing how the
butterfly will come out of the cocoon. He waited patiently for many hours but
still the butterfly is trying hard to come out of the cocoon. He decided that
it can’t do it by itself and someone has to help the butterfly to come out of
the cocoon.
So he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the
remaining bit of cocoon. Then the beautiful butterfly came from it. He felt so
happy that he gave freedom to fly for the butterfly. But he observed that it
had swollen body and shriveled wings.
The man took it to his home and started taking care
of it. He is hoping that one day it will get good body and wings. Neither
happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling here and
there. It ended life in the same way without even flying once in a life.
The man started thinking and realized that the
struggle in the cocoon is the way kept by the God for the butterfly to go
through. In the process of the struggle, the fluid will flow from the body to
wings which help the butterfly to fly. It is God’s way of design for the
butterfly.
In the same way, struggles in our life are like
spending time in a cocoon. If God allowed us to skip them, then we will be
crippling like the butterfly rather than leading a better life. Life teaches us
many lessons which help to fly high. Let’s face the struggles boldly for the
beautiful life.
