A doctor entered the hospital with a hurry after
knowing that he had to do one major surgery. So after receiving the call,
without wasting any time he changed his clothes and came to the hospital.
He saw a person moving very tensely in the
corridor. He is the father of the patient. By seeing the doctor, the father
yelled, “Why did you take so much of time to come? Don’t you have the
responsibility in saving a life?”
The doctor gave a smile and said, “I’m sorry
because I wasn’t in the hospital. After receiving the call, I started
immediately. So please stay calm and leave me so that I can start the surgery.”
The father replied, “Stay calm? What if your son is in the death bed like my
son? Will you stay calm?”
The doctor again smiled and rushed into the
operation theatre. The operation went on for several hours and finally it was a
success and the patient was out of danger. Doctor came out happily, told the
good news to the father and ran away without listening anything from the
father.
Then the nurse came and explained about the
patient’s condition. Father was very happy about the way surgery went on. He
asked the nurse, ”Why is the doctor so arrogant? He didn’t listen to anything
and rushed out of the hospital?”
Then the nurse with tears rolling down her face
answered, “His son died yesterday in the road accident, he was in the burial
ceremony when we called him for your son’s surgery. He rushed away to be there
in his son’s ceremony.”
Moral: Never judge anyone’s state, because you
never know how their life is & what they’re going through.
