Once there lived a wealthy merchant with his three beautiful daughters. One day, the father decided to go to far place. He asked his daughters what they want on his return. The first two daughters asked for a dress. The younger one asked for a rose flower which was plucked by his father. The merchant on the way had to cross through a dense forest. In that forest, he finds a place to eat in an old house which is vacant. Next day, he was so busy in his work and he saw a beautiful rose flower. He recollected his younger daughter’s wish and plucked that beautiful rose.
Suddenly, a gigantic devil came out from that plant and said “I gave you food and bed to sleep. And now you are plucking my roses?” The merchant with much fear told to the devil that it was his younger daughter’s wish to bring a rose flower as her gift. The devil decided to leave this merchant only if he promised to send her young daughter to the forest. The merchant agreed to the condition and ran away from the devil. When he returned to his place, he told everything to his daughter. As she loves her father more, she agreed to go to the forest.
The devil treated this girl with kind. He let her do whatever she wants. Daily she had delicious food and allowed to sleep wherever she wants. On day time, the devil used to give the company and in the night time, he used to take care of her safety. Slowly, this girl began to lose her fear and started enjoying the devil company. But as she loves her father so much, she is missing him badly. By seeing this, devil arranged a mirror where she can see her family daily.
One day, she saw her father was very ill and on his deathbed. She requested the devil to give permission to see her father in his last days. But due to the condition that not to leave her, the devil didn’t give permission. After some time, the devil came to this girl and gave exact seven days of permission. She felt so happy and promised the devil that she will surely return in seven days.
As the younger daughter came to the home, the father felt so happy that his health became normal. But she forgot about the promise made by her with the devil. But one night, she got a terrible nightmare in which the devil was about to die due to illness. Devil is pleading this girl to return back. She realized the favor by the devil; she returned back to the forest and saw the condition of the devil. She cried and said, “Please don’t die Devil! I will live with you forever.” The devil miraculously changed into a handsome person. He said, “I was under a curse for all these years and could only come out only when someone fell in love with me. I am fully cured of the curse because of your true love”. And then, they both got married and left to her father’s place and lived happily.
