Love Vs Anger

One day, a saint and his disciples were walking on the banks of the river. They saw the family members were shouting each other in anger. Then the saint turned to his disciples and asked, “Why do people shout in anger?” One of the disciples said, “Because we lose our temper.” “But why should people shout when the other person is next to him? They can tell him in a soft manner which is audible to him.” This time, there is no answer from the disciples.

Finally, the saint started explaining the reason. “When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance, they must shout at each other. The angrier, the more distance between their hearts. Automatically the shout must be as loud as the distance.”

But when the two people love each other, they will always talk softly because their hearts are very close to each other. The distance between them is very small or non-existence. When they love each other even more then they no need to speak; only whisper can communicate. Finally, they don’t even whisper, just an eye contact is enough. This is how when two people love each other sincerely.

In the end, the saint concluded like this. When you argue do not let your hearts get distance or do not say the words which increase the distance between each other. Who knows? One day will come when the distance is so great that you even forgot the exact path to return.
