Once there lived David and Jona who are close to
each other. They both work for the same company as Sales Executives. Both used
to work very hard for the company. After two years, David got promotion and he
became the Team Leader. Jona was too upset that he is still a sales executive
and from now he should work under David.
So he kept the resignation letter in front of the
boss and said, “As the company is not valuing my hard work and effort, I
decided to resign for my job.” The boss gave a smile and said, “Jona, before
leaving the company, do this task. Go to the fruits market and find is anyone
selling watermelon or not.” Jona returned and said yes. The boss asked him the
cost of the watermelon. Again he went back and informed to the boss as $12 per
kg.
Now boss gave the same task to David. David went to
fruits market, returned to the boss and said, “Boss, in the whole market only
one person is selling watermelon. It costs $12 per kg. Every watermelon weighs
about 15kgs, bought from The South just two days back which are looking so
fresh and red.” Jona was impressed and realized the difference between himself
and David. He took back the resignation letter and started learning from David.
My dear friends, a more successful person is more
observant, think more and understand in depth. For the same matter, a more
successful person sees several years ahead, while you see only tomorrow. The
difference between a year and a day is 365 times, how could you win?
