I feel the right perspective solves so many problems. Here is a
test by a philosophy professor to his students.
A philosophy professor asked his students to write an essay by
showing a blackboard with a white dot in the center. After 30 minutes, he
started reading the essays loudly. Without any surprise, he found 90% students
concentrated on the small dot and explained its color, shape, position etc. But
only 10% students wrote about the blackboard.
At the end of the class, he concluded by saying, it resembles our
real life. We often tend to worry about the small dot of loneliness, hardships,
failures, deficiency, negatives, but we never believe that it is just a small
dot in a big life. Those difficult moments are just like passing clouds in
everyone’s life. The positive thinking and thinking on the solution rather than
problem will solve more problems.
This small test changed the perspective of those class students.
Hope this small story changes our perspective.
