Once there lived an old man who had a donkey to help him in his
works. The old man is very kind and intelligent master. But the donkey is very
lazy and always find ways to avoid the work.
One day, while the donkey was carrying loads of salt on his back,
unfortunately, it fell down in the river. The donkey realized that the fall has
lessened the weight of the load as the salt has dissolved in the water.
So for the next few days, the lazy donkey wantedly fell into the
river. The old man was unhappy with the donkey’s behavior and decided to teach
it a lesson.
The next day, instead of salt bags he loaded cotton bags. The lazy
donkey was unaware of the fact and dipped it into the river. It was surprising
that the weight was unbearable. By this, the lazy donkey decided to work with
honesty and sincerity.
