Five More Minutes

There’s a park which is very near to the main road. A man is sitting on a bench. A lady came and sat next to him. She showed him a boy with a red sweater and said, “He is my son”. He showed a girl with a white dress and said, “She is my daughter”.
After a while looking at his watch, he called his daughter and said, “Dear Melissa, shall we go?” Melissa pleaded, “Just five more minutes, dad please”. The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike. After 30 minutes, the father again called Melissa and said, “Shall we go now dear?”
Again Melissa pleaded, “Dad, please five more minutes.” He smiled and allowed his daughter to drive her bike. The woman who sat next to him said, “Certainly, you are a patient father”.
The man smiled and said, “Few days back her only brother Tom died in an accident playing in the same park who was hit by a drunk driver. I never spent much time with Tom while he was alive but now I’m ready to spend as much time I want with him. But he is no more. I have decided not to commit the same mistake with Melissa. She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get five more minutes to watch her play in this busy scheduled world.”
