A
famous speaker started his seminar by holding up a $500 note. He asked the
audience, “Who wants this $500 note?” Hands started rising slowly. Mostly all
raised their hand.
Then
the speaker crushed the note in his hand and asked the audience again, “Who
wants this $500 note?” The audience raised their hands again.
Then
the speaker started crushing the note with his shoe. He picked the dirty note
to his hand and asked the audience again, “Who still wants this $500 note?”
Audience without any hesitation raised their hands.
Then
he started his seminar saying that no matter what I did to the $500 note, you
people still wanted it because its value is same in the three situations. Many
times in our life, we were dropped, crushed, thrown into tough situations. We
feel that we lost our value. But no matter what has happened, you will never
lose your value if you are valued in past.
MORAL: You are always special. You have a value which never be erased or taken away from you. Never let yesterday’s disappointments overshadow tomorrow’s dreams.
