There were so many quotations, but when we read few quotations, we
may remember a few names. As per me, when I think about the quotation, “Never
Give Up” I remember Abraham Lincoln. He faced failures like anything, yet he never
gives up. That’s why he became a source of inspiration to many like us. Here is
his life journey with full of failures & obstacles before becoming the
President of US.
1809 – His mother died.
1828 – His sister died.
1831 – He failed in business.
1832 – He was defeated in elections for state legislature.
1835 – His fiancée died.
1836 – He suffered with a nervous breakdown and was in bed for 6
months.
1838 – Contested for Speaker (State Legislature) and defeated.
1840 – Contested for Elector
and defeated.
1843 – Contested for US Congress and defeated.
1846 – Contested for US Congress again and Won this time.
1848 – Contested for re-election and defeated.
1849 – Contested for Land officer in his own state and defeated.
1851 – His father died.
1854 – Contested for US Senate and defeated.
1856 – Contested for Vice-Presidential nomination at his party
national convention and got less than 100 votes.
1858 – Contested for US Senate and defeated again.
1860 – Elected as US President and the rest is History. He emerged
as one of the greatest presidents ever lived on the planet earth.
