My Autograph

Hello Everyone,

My Birth & Childhood

I am Patha Cuddapah Paul Joshua Alias Benny. This is my autobiography. I am the youngest son of Patha Cuddapah Joshua, who is a retired government officer and Tsapa Grace Sabitha Kumari, who works in a Christian organization. My parents have two boy children. My brother’s name is Patha Cuddapah Samuel Joshua.

I was born on April 11th, 1990 (Wednesday) in Kurnool General Hospital. My mom gave birth to me in a very tough situation where she almost gave her life. She was an Asthma patient at that time. The doctors took no objection certificate in case of mother/child death too. In that tough situation, God helped my mother to give her second consecutive cesarean birth. By seeing my heavy hair, nurses thought that I am a girl. Though I born in Kurnool which is my mother’s native place, I have grown up in Mydukur, Cuddapah District (now it is Kadapa). Right from my childhood, I am so active and people around me will always enjoy my company. I stayed in Government quarters, so I have many friends of my age in my childhood.

My Schooling

I started schooling at the age of two and half years. My schooling was completed in 4 schools. My mother is my class teacher from nursery to Third standard. I am one of the active and mischievous students in the class. In my childhood, I am so good in studies. That means it gradually decreased as I am getting promoted to the next classes. Up to Primary education, I stood in top three in the class, but I couldn’t keep it going. Once in games class, my mother conducted the exam. I was very disturbed and thought of completing quickly and go to ground. In that speed attempt, I calculated everything wrong and got nice beatings from my mother.
Right from my childhood, I am so fond of games. My school male faculty uses to send me out to find out the score. At that time, we didn’t have an extensive Internet connection. So I use to go to nearby hotels to see cricket on TV. Teachers used to call me ‘Sportsmen’ at that time. Cricket is my daily evening game after school hours. In upper primary classes, I started participating in school level games and won many awards and rewards. In my 10th standard, I was declared as the “Man of the Series” in Zone Level Cricket Competitions. I played Handball, Softball too in my Schooling. Under my Mamaiah’s guidance, I was selected for the National Softball team. I have an entry in Badminton where I secured third place in Under -19 Anantapur District Games. But Tennis is my favorite sport.

My Intermediate

In the mean time my mischievous behavior increased and I got only 70% in SSC. By seeing this, I was sent to Anantapur (adjacent district) for my Intermediate studies. Unfortunately, there I got the most mischievous batch ever I come across in my life. We used to bunk classes, steal the goods of others, watching porn videos, beating lecturers and all sorts of bad things. Let me share with you one of the college incident.

As usual, we bunked our classes and roaming on the road. Usually, we use to go for movies, but we don’t have enough money on that day. So we went to the Railway Station and stayed there for three hours seeing the passengers, trains and all. Unfortunately, this news was leaked to Vice-Principal of the college. While we are returning back from the railway station, he came directly to us on a bike and told us to come to college with him. When I saw him, I hide myself by standing behind the pedestrians. He turned his bike towards the college road, in that second, myself and one more friend flew away from that place. We both thought that as we are hiding behind the pedestrians, the VP didn’t see us.  But he saw us and slapped in the face in next day examination hall. But our punishment is very small compared to the friends whom the VP took in his bike. It is Friday and all the senior staff are busy in preparing the Question paper for Saturday exam. He took them directly to the Principal chamber and rest is the past.
All of my friends had a habit of smoking and drinking. Once we all went to one Bar & Restaurant. It was my first and last visit to Bar & Restaurant in my life because of this incident. All my friends are smoking and drinking, but I don’t like smoking and drinking I sat calmly eating chicken pieces. All of a sudden one of my friends shouted, Let’s involve Paul into it. I was shocked by hearing it and all my drunken friends forced me to drink by making me sleep on the desk. I warned all my friends in big voice stating that I will surely commit suicide if you people do so. They got to calm down by hearing this statement from me. It is my childhood decision not to smoke and drink. If I do so, then I will commit suicide and die. This commitment helped me not to go for it.

Thank God, my father got a promotion and transfer to the same place where I am studying. By the arrival of my family, my bad behavior was stuck with speed breakers. I started living so conscious because I fear a lot to my parents. In that meantime, I started growing in my spiritual life. Though I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior in the First year of my Intermediate, due to freedom I was not up to the mark. But with my parent’s arrival, I started fearing God by seeing their holy life. With my seasonal study timings, I lost Grade ‘A’ by one mark which I believe that it’s a curse from God because of my bad life.

My Graduation

Later father got transferred to Kurnool where I have done my Graduation and Post Graduation. I always use to have big dreams in life which are eventually broken by my parents. After SSC, I thought of joining in Sports College, which was not fulfilled. After Intermediate, I thought of doing Graduation in BBM, which was eventually ended with B. Tech (B.E). After B. Tech, I thought of doing an MBA for my Masters which was eventually declined and made me join in M. Tech. Though all my dreams are thrown in vein, every time I believed that I am in God’s plan and I used to have faith in my parents as they are more spiritual than me.

I should mention my B. Tech life. I joined in a newly opened college as it is my father’s friend college. My dream of joining BBM was shattered because of the news of this newly opened college. I was strictly told by my father that not to spoil his reputation by doing mischievous things. Even I am also eager to start a new disciplined life. I was recognized by every Christian faculty who came to my class. This helps me to become famous in class and to be more conscious about my father’s reputation.
Then on the third day it was all started. EEE HOD is taking the class. It was interval time, still he is continuing the call. One student who is sitting behind me is starting to make sounds with his shoe. That sound is very irritating. By hearing it, that lecturer got serious and complained to Principal. In the interval, everyone is discussing this topic and all are coming towards me (as I am well known in class) and asking about it. I don’t want to say that, it came from my back as these guys will be hurt. So I just smiled and said I don’t know. After the interval, first three benches are called for the Principal chamber after the interval.
We nine students went to Principal chamber. First, he called all nine and enquired about the incident and told to confess voluntarily. No one spoke anything at that time. He said that no one is permanent friends and no one is going to save others. Later he sent all nine students outside and started calling one at a time. On the table, he kept one small book and a pen and told everyone to write anyone name on whom he had doubt.  Attender used to tell us to go one by one inside. After first three guys, I was called by my name. I was shocked and later when I entered inside, I saw first three people wrote my name as they were unaware of the fact.
Facing a tough situation before faculty is not a new thing to me. As always I am so calm and tension-free. The Principal asked me who done it. I told him that voice came from the backside and I don’t know who it is. He started talking in the louder voice saying these three told that you did it. By shouting at me, even I got angry and answered with a loud voice. I told not only these three, even if whole class shows me as a culprit also I will say I am not the culprit because that is the fact. By hearing my answer, he became so angry and asked about my family details so that he can talk with them. By hearing my father’s name, he was shocked and asked me. Are you the son of Joshua anna? I said yes. He laughed loudly and sent me and remaining students to class.
Later the Principal came to class and warned everyone about discipline. But I am deeply hurt by this incident. With this, I started suffering from a high fever in that night. My father got angry and called Principal on mobile and told that it was not my son who did it. He won’t say anything wrong because he is a believer. The Principal called Class Representative (CR) to his chamber and again enquired about the incident. By God’s grace, he told that I am not the culprit and don’t know who the real culprit is. With this incident, I became famous in throughout my college.
Up to Intermediate, I don’t know what is failing in end exams. But B. Tech made me a frequent visitor to that. In First year, I was failed in 4 subjects out of 8. It's not only my results, out of 240 students only 5 got passed in 8 subjects. It’s a big shock to the college. The main reason is we don’t have seniors to guide us about Engineering exams. Up to Intermediate, question to answer is enough for marks, but in engineering we should elaborate it. But still my friendship with Fail is not yet over. Up to Third year, first semester I had backlogs in every semester. I entered 3-2 with 5 backlogs and by God’s grace I completed 11 subjects at a stretch and got eligibility for campus interviews in the final year.
Being the son of well-educated parents, I got good English from them. The whole college is pretty sure that I will get a job in the first interview itself. Due to my less technical knowledge, I wasn't able to clear the final round. But at the end of 4-2, I got selected for the best company ever visited my college and I was in the sky. Out of 360, only 9 got selected by a high package of salary. This selection forced me to cancel my MS plan to Ireland. But due to some issues between the company and college, I lost my job. By this, I didn’t join in that company as well as I didn’t go to Ireland to do MS.

I waited for four months after my Graduation for offer letter, but I didn’t receive it. So I went to Hyderabad in search of a job. I tried a lot for the software job, which I couldn’t make-up. One day I went to drop out my resume in one consultancy. After that, I sat in a bus stop for the bus. One guy who saw the resume in my hand suggested me to attend an interview in one marketing company. I attended it and got selected. This is my first job.
Every day I use to travel 45 minutes by bus to reach my office at 8 AM. From 8 to 11 AM there will be training in the company. The people who sold the good last day will train the other members in those three hours. I was trapped into this as they said that they are going to start their branches in every district and we will be in-charge to that marketing company. For first three months to know the customer’s mind, we should go to streets as sales executives. But selling the product which is not in the hand and taking a cheque is too tough. Later I came to know that we don’t have a standard salary, what we sold for that we will be getting incentives. For every product, I will get 300 rupees.
I was deeply disappointed in starting when I came to know that I am not going to get any standard salary. But the people around me encouraged to prove myself as they are in the same line. I worked for three months and I sold 5 goods which help me to get 1500 rupees. For these three months, I got financial support from parents. After knowing that it is all fake, I left the job without intimation and said to my dad that I will join in M. Tech (Masters).

My Post Graduation

I went back to my hometown to do Masters. I joined in the same college where I finished my B. Tech (Graduation). We don’t have classes for Masters. In the meantime, I joined in Govt. Degree College, Nandikotkur as a JKC Mentor. I trained Degree students in Arithmetic, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge and English. I am studying Masters and working as a JKC Mentor side by side. JKC Mentor is a six months contract where I was paid 8000 rupees per month. In the meantime, I started teaching English at Bank Institute, where I took 100 rupees per hour. So staying in hometown with parents, going to Degree College in Principal’s car helped me to save almost all the money.

I lost both the jobs in quick succession. I started feeling bored staying at home. Meanwhile, my M.Tech external exams came and I became busy again. I failed in two subjects, but I cleared in first supplementary. All the saved money is started coming down. I spent simply at home for nearly 6 months. The money, which I saved was about to complete in a few days. At that moment, I got a new job in which I worked as a Soft Skills Trainer. This is the job which I like most of all the jobs. I went to different colleges in Andhra Pradesh to train students in Communication Skills, Interview Skills and Interpersonal Skills. I took 500 rupees per hour. I stayed in good hotels, traveled in cars, AC buses and this is my most luxurious job in my life.
At last I completed my Masters with 72% in 2015. Actually, it has to be finished by the end of December 2014 but due to lack of faculty in college it was completed in January 2015. My whole batch was totally disturbed that our degree will be mentioned as from 2012-2015 in certificates. I am the first person in my batch to get a job after the Masters. I completed my Project Viva and attended Interview in the next day. I got selected for a Software company as a Technical Writer. Let me tell you how I selected for this job.

My Job

Up to M. Tech completion, I worked in different jobs like Sales Executive, JKC Mentor, English Faculty in Bank Coaching Centres and Soft Skills Trainer for Graduation final year students. I got all these jobs without any effort. So I am pretty sure that God is going to give me a job for which I should be wait and see. Every day in my Quite Time (Bible Reading), God is telling me to wait for His time. I thought that as I was going to complete my M. Tech, God is going to bless me with Lecturer Job in any Engineering College so that I can do ministry more. But my thinking is wrong and it proved again that His ways and thinking is way higher than mine. Let’s know how God blessed me with a job.

I was browsing through my Facebook wall. I received a text from Mr. Naresh, who is my earlier room mate when I stayed in Hyderabad in 2011-12. The gist of our conversation is all about asking my resume for the job of “Test & Support Engineer” in PaaS Technologies. I have gone through the interview and BY only God’s grace I cleared it after one-hour spending in the war room. I was so excited to step into the work and get busy myself with the stuff which fetches me few bugs. But a speed barker stopped me when I got ready with my entire luggage and resting on the sofa. Unknowingly, I opened Gmail account and shocked seeing an email from the company stating that “Postponement of Joining Date”.

At last I joined on Feb 2nd, 2015 with full of anxiety and a little bit of nervousness down in my heart. I was introduced to all my colleagues by Mr. Naresh. The first day is just like an observation day for me, observing the room, people, furniture, walls and my system. From the second day onwards, I started enjoying the work under the guidance of Mr. Ali, Miss. Gouthami and Mr. Brahma. I want to thank especially Miss. Gouthami, on whom I used to dump all my doubts. I learned the things better under her guidance. I can’t forget the encouragement of Mr. Ali, Mr. Brahma & Mr. Adhi. I want to say something about the girl who joined along with me. Her name is Samreen Khan, w/o Feroz Khan (TL in my company). She is very friendly, jovial and good human being. I had a good fellowship in my lunch time with the rest of my colleagues. On the whole I can say that I am injected in a perfect group where I can learn, share everything what I want and which can build my career.
